Frosh Recap (Coach Engle):

Last night against Camelback the girls did a great job at running our offense, we were more patient and controlled than we have been before.  Marisa did a great job on defense getting at least 7 steals and scoring a couple baskets. Kaylin played her best game to date and was very active on offense. Kaleah was our high scorer with 9 points.

JV Recap (Coach Hughes):

The Scorpions recognized the hot hand early and fed their leading scorers in both halves of yesterday’s contest. Tralay Jones made good on her handouts, scoring her season high with a game-best 8 points on 4-6 shooting to pace the DE JV GIRLS basketball team to a 38-20 win over the Camelback Spartans Tuesday night.

Nya Dey had the stroke as well, shooting 3-6 from inside the paint finishing up with 8 points with Kendra Thomas stuffing the stat sheet in the 3rd quarter with 6 points, 3 assists and 2 steals.

The DE JV GIRLS had 8 players in the scoring column with Kaleah Etu scoring her 1st points of the season. The Scorpions  return to the court this Friday to play Combs High School. Tip-off at the Scorpion  Palace is set for 5:30 p.m.
Varsity Recap:
The varsity defeated Camelback last night. Our press created many easy scoring opportunities.
