Varsity Recap: Coach Lovely
Senior night ended with a packed gym and happy fans.
Last night Bradshaw Mountain came into the Scorpions Den and feel short in front of a rowdy Desert Edge crowd. The first quarter the Seniors took charge leading 12 – 7 and carried that lead over to the half with the halftime score being 23 – 22. The third period the Scorpions came out and took charge finishing the 3rd period up 36 – 30. Then with 3 minutes left in the game the Scorpion defense had built up a 20 point lead causing turnovers and converting on the offensive end of the court.
The evening ended with the crowd chanting for Senior Manager Aaron Cauley to be put in the game. With 2:30 minutes left in the game and a 19 pt lead Cauley was put in, immediately the gym erupted with cheers. Aaron’s time on the court didn’t disappoint as he nearly made two 3 pointers with the crowd hanging on the result of each shot.

JV Recap: Coach Johnson:
Last night the JV Scorpions capped off their season with a dominant win against the Bradshaw Mountain Bears. The Scorpions stuck to their identity of suffocating defense and outstanding ball movement on offense. The guys came out on fire Last night hitting a season high eight 3 pointers. (3 from Blaze Sisk and 3 from Demetri Williams).
This was an amazing way to end the season. The Final record stands at 14 – 4 the best of my tenure here coaching at Desert Edge. Please if you see any of the players congratulate them on a very successful season. They have been such a pleasure to work with this season

Freshman Recap: Coach Day
The Freshman had our final contest of the season at home vs Bradshaw Mountain last night. It started very sluggish with a quick 8 – 0 hole. Our bench came in with Amir Smith, Camren Foster, Javier Montano, and Jahmir Johnson to right the ship. Soon our starters followed along forcing turnovers and converting on offense. This balance from all 9 of our guys led us to a 57 – 43 victory. This puts our final record at 13 – 5. Amazing season and please try to congratulate these young guys on their great play and effort all season.
