An exciting meet occurred Wednesday night as our DE Wrestling team was able to win over Buckeye 32-30 (after giving up 12 net points to weight class forfeits)!
Some of our standout matches of the evening were:
- Kris Ciccarelli (sr) set the stage with the team’s first win of the night by a major victory (8 or more point victory)
- Cristian Villegas (senior) clinching our final win of the night at the Heavyweight weight class. He came in hard and aggressively dogged his opponent
- Nigel Lyles, our muscular 195 pound senior slamming a victory against his opponent
- Emilio Varella and Noah Salas (juniors) each walked away with decisive victories at the 160 and 170 weight classes, respectively
- Our incumbent 147 pound senior, Adrian Pena, debuted the season with his first win of the season by a pin.
